Dear Sister,

Give light. Receive light.

Write a few words of light for a sister in education leadership, wherever she is. When you are the one who needs it, come in and take a light that was left for you.

How it works

Three ways to take part.

1

Give light

Write up to 160 characters. Tell us where your light is coming from and, if you like, where it is needed. Sign with your first name or as A sister.

2

Receive light

Enter your ZIP code and see the lights sent toward your area, given near you, and lifted most. Take one and keep it.

3

Lift a light

Lift the lights that carry you. The most lifted travel with us to UNITY Day, and the best are read aloud during Dear Sister.

The tapestry of light

Where the light is going.

Each point is a light a sister gave. Each thread runs to a place where a sister asked for light. Everything appears after a UNITY sister has read it, and the map shows areas, never addresses.

Drawing the map.

Tap any light on the map to read it. Lift the ones that carry you.

A UNITY sister reads every light before it appears. The map shows the area a light came from, never a ZIP code or an address.

Carried to UNITY Day

The most lifted lights

These travel with us to UNITY Day on February 23, 2027, at the CAAASA Conference. The best are read aloud during Dear Sister.

    Where Dear Sister comes from

We lit a candle together at the Retreat.

Dear Sister keeps that light moving through the year, one note at a time, from one sister to another.

On UNITY Day, February 23, 2027, we gather at the CAAASA Conference under the theme Still We Rise. During Dear Sister, the most lifted lights are read aloud, so the words you leave here are heard in the room.
